Pakistan Flood Aid: Good to see at least one Arab country has donated generously… The five countries who’ve so far given the largest donations are the United States, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. Islamists should take note, except for Saudi, the countries most generous in giving sadaqah (charity) are Western nations! Private donations, also largely from the West, in total make up the second largest donation, while donations from the E.U. are the third largest. As sadaqah is one of the most pleasing good deeds one can do in the sight of Allah, maybe the islamists would like to rethink their stance… Then again, maybe not… That would entail something forbidden to them by their mullahs, using their aql (intelligence)!

Are these only the amounts Pakistan accepted? I’m not sure how much Israel offered, but Pakistan has rejected it because it would prefer its people suffer and die than accept aid from Israel.
I’m not aware of the details of any aid Israel has offered on this occasion, although I am acutely aware the country tries to send aid in the case of any international disaster. If Pakistan’s government has rejected any aid from Israel, just because they’re Israelis, this is incredibly depressing and disappointing to learn… At the present moment in time, the people of Pakistan need all the help they can get!
