Salam alaikum and Jummah Mubarak!

Over the past year, I’ve been asked a number of times about reading dhikr (remembrance of God) and salawat (blessings on the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his family). So this week I read and discuss a little on this subject from The Encyclopedia of Islamic Doctrine, Volume 2, “Remembrance of Allah and Praising the Prophet” by Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani (1998). Insha Allah, this helps to clarify these matters in people’s hearts and minds.
