I read part of the opening section of Imam Al-Ghazali’s Ihya Ulum Al-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences), The Book of Knowledge, translated by Nabih Amin Faris (1988), pages 2-10, and discuss the importance of learning within Islam.
