Sohbet and Sufi Meditation 14.11.2022

Salam alaikum! 🙏🏻

“Believers, avoid being suspicious. Some suspicions are sinful. And don’t spy or backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? No, you would hate it. So remain mindful of God. God is the Acceptor of repentance, the Mercy giver.”
~ Holy Quran 49:12 (Safi Kaskas)

“Woe to every scorning backbiter”
~ Holy Quran 104:01 (Safi Kaskas)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Do you know what is backbiting?” The Companions said: “Allah and His Messenger know better.” Thereupon he said, “Backbiting is talking about your (Muslim) brother in a manner which he dislikes.” It was said to him: “What if my (Muslim) brother is as I say.” He said, “If he is actually as you say, then that is backbiting; but if that is not in him, that is slandering.”
[Muslim] (Riyad as-Salihin 1523)

In this week’s sohbet I discuss gossiping, also known as backbiting, bullying and cyber-bullying, and what to do if you become a target of gossip, bullying or harassment.

Followed by the traditional weekly dhikr/meditation of the Naqshbandi tariqat.
