Sohbet and Sufi Meditation 16.01.2023

Salam alaikum! 🙏🏻

“Believers, uphold justice and bear witness to God, even if that witness is against yourself, your parents or your close relatives. Whether a person is rich or poor, God can best take care of both. Refrain from following your own desires, so that you do not act unjustly. If you distort the truth, God is fully aware of what you do.”
~ Holy Quran 4:135 (Safi Kaskas)

This week I discuss anti-Muslim prejudice in the media, the importance of justice to civilisation, and the hypocrisy of unrealistic expectations placed on converts by some Muslims who don’t practice what they preach, considering themselves Muslim by default. This results in a dichotomy where converts are often seen differently, with some Muslims always questioning their conversion and motives unless very practising and even then get unreasonably questioned from some quarters.

Followed by the traditional weekly dhikr/meditation of the Naqshbandi tariqat.
