Today, many people talk about the Sunnah (example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) but how often do you hear a reminder of the Sunnah to be patient? That whatever problems you are experiencing, you need to be patient.
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said, “The Friends of God (Awliya Allah) spent their days and nights worshipping Allah ﷻ. They did not care what people said about them. Allah made everyone speak highly of them after their death, but they were tested by Allah and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ every day of their lives. Who was more tested than Prophet? In Ta’if, children threw stones at him, wounding his legs, but he was exceedingly patient. You win people’s hearts by being patient.”
