Today, everyone knows the iconic black kiswā (covering) of the Ka‘bah. But what is less well known is that the Ka’bah hasn’t always been dressed in black, nor does the covering necessarily need to be this colour, it’s simply the design that has been settled upon in recent years. Personally, I quite like the green one, such a refreshing colour and the favourite colour of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
