What Islam Actually Teaches About Synagogues in the Quran.

“[They are] those who have been driven from their homes unjustly, for saying only that ‘Our Lord is God.’ And, if God did not intervene by using some people to drive out others, many monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, where God’s name is much remembered, would have been destroyed. God is sure to help those who help His cause, for truly God is strong and mighty.”
~ Holy Quran 22:40 (Safi Kaskas)

In addition, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave clear instructions that even in a warzone, Muslims must not harm rabbis, priests, monks, women, children, anyone working in the fields (i.e. any civilians), synagogues or churches, or destroy property or the natural environment.

These rules were expanded by Imam Ali, on whom be peace, to become stricter than the Geneva Convention and an inspiration for its creation.

To anyone who truly understands and lives Islam it’s abundantly clear how different Islam is from the extreme ideologies that aim to hijack it. But Muslims need to be far more robust in challenging extremists and hateful ideologies like islamism that have caused us all so much harm in recent decades.
