Prophet Muhammad: It is not proper to punish with fire except the Lord of fire.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Moaz al-Kasasbeh and the Jordanian people. Moaz al-Kasasbeh died a true shaheed (martyr) of Islam. He courageously took part in missions against the khawarijite Daesh, cruel heartless enemies of Muslims and all humanity, who tragically and callously took his life in the worst possible way, absolutely forbidden in Islam.

Daesh just confirmed once more something educated Muslims know already, they are well and truly outside the pale of Islam! Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was upset that ants had been punished with fire. Ants! How then would the Messenger of Allah feel about burning a man alive? The answer is surely obvious…

“We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) during a journey. He went to ease himself.

We saw a bird with her two young ones and we captured her young ones. The bird came and began to spread its wings. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came and said: Who grieved this for its young ones? Return its young ones to it.

He also saw an ant village that we had burnt. He asked: Who has burnt this? We replied: We. He (Prophet Muhammad) said: It is not proper to punish with fire except the Lord of fire.

~ Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, Sunan of Abu-Dawood, 1131.
