Which Of Your Lord’s Blessings Do You Deny?

“The Merciful-to-all taught the Quran, created man, taught him to articulate speech. The sun and the moon run on precise calculations. The stars and the trees submit to Him. The skies He raised high and has established the balance, that you may not transgress in the balance, but weigh with justice, and do not violate the balance. The earth He laid out for all living creatures. In it are fruits and date-palms in clusters and grains on flourishing stems and fragrant plants. So which of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?”
~ Holy Quran 55:1-13 (Safi Kaskas)

For too long, people cared too much about money, power, and material luxeries… and not nearly enough about other people, let alone nature… So Allah changed everything overnight with the tiniest, most microscopic things. Even the mosques, churches, and other places of worship can’t be used as a place of refuge…

Which of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

There is a lesson in this situation… In humility, humanity, and not being so focused on material wealth… Benefits that can evaporate overnight, and have no real longevity.

We are all members of One Human Family, one of many communities of living creatures on this small planet we share. We need to start taking more care of each other, be more considerate to the other creatures who share this planet with us, and not being so greedy and arrogant.

When a tiny thing we can’t even see without the aid of a microscope can bring the whole world to a standstill, it’s time to reflect…

What are we here for, and what are we aiming to achieve in our lives. Life is fragile, appreciate it and take care of this tremendously precious gift and opportunity from our Creator called life.
