Stalin WAS an atheist, but he kileld in the name of communism (specifically his totalitarian brand of communism which was nothing like the original Marxist vision of a stateless, egalitarian society). He didn’t kill in the name of atheism anymore than Hitler kileld in the name of dog-lovers.
